Trip overview
I am very excited to offer this three-day canoeing package, based in and around the Lake District. The exact plan will be weather and water level dependent, but we will paddle on both open water and moving water over the weekend. I want to provide an opportunity for female canoeists to come together, have fun, share positive experiences, and have a bit of a jolly (whilst working towards their personal paddling development!).
There will be plenty of time to ask questions and share ideas. As coaches, we will be on hand to safely guide and support the team as you learn and develop new skills during this adventure in the Lake District.
I am really happy to share that Adam Robson will be supporting this trip as a coach and guide. Robson is a male canoe coach who has supported me in my own development and knows the area well. I know he will be fun to have around and will share a wealth of knowledge. He has experience of working with female paddlers and will add a lot of value to our trip.
Who is this trip for?
You will have your own equipment (canoes can be hired at a small additional cost), and have experience of canoeing on grade two moving water. You can mostly get the canoe where you want it to go. You will have paddled on open water and understand the basics of how to move you boat in the wind. You will be comfortable with how to perform a self-rescue. This is open to solo or tandem canoeists.
